The SIT Research Group at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Department of Computer Science, targets research in the broad area of security and privacy in information technology, in particular:

  • Security and Privacy in Cloud Computing
  • Security and Privacy in Smart Home
  • Secure Engineering
  • Privacy and Identity Management
  • Cryptography and Cryptographic Protocols

 Fraunhofer Instute for Secure Information Technology, Darmstadt:   Fraunhofer is Europe’s largest application-oriented research organization. Within Fraunhofer, Fraunhofer SIT is responsible for R&D in IT security and privacy.

  

  

 Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt:  CASED is a research center jointly established by Technische Universität Darmstadt, Fraunhofer SIT and Hochschule Darmstadt, and funded primarily by the  LOEWE program of the Land Hessen. CASED is Germany's largest research center for IT security and privacy.

   

 European Center for Security and Privacy by Design (EC SPRIDE):  EC SPRIDE is a cybersecurity research center established at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, in cooperation with Fraunhofer SIT, and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It is focused primarily on the engineering aspects of security and privacy: theory, methods, tools and examples for how to produce information technology with a predictably high and adequate level of security and privacy.
